Haslemere U16 are tested with key players away, the whole team step up and show what they are made of. Training and strategy came to the fore with all on the pitch playing a part. Notable performances were given by Fin & Hugo. MoM - Chad

Haslemere kick off, after being in the Horsham half for several minutes Horsham kick into the Haslemere half. Rhys covers well and then continues to make several fantastic tackles and is strong with his rucking.

Haslemere give away a penalty but keep Horsham out after they opt to go for the corner. Haslemere lose a scrum, Horsham get close to the line but knock on Haslemere are defending well against a well coached team. Play is back and forward where Haslemere win a free kick, Horsham knock on in the lineout and Haslemere clear to their ten yard line. Horsham bring it back to the 22 and continue to apply pressure but Chad, George and Max VdL along with the rest of the pack are playing really well.

After a few more phases Hugo makes a try saving tackle but Horsham are relentless and finally score on the blind side 7-0 Horsham. From the off Horsham kick forward to the Haslemere 22. Haslemere win the scrum but lose the ball Horsham get it wide and score 12-0.

From the off the ball stays in the middle of the park with the ball changing sides regularly. Alistair is like a man possessed in fact the whole team have risen to the challenge of a number of the regular players being out. Haslemere are losing their lineouts but holding their own in the scrum and loose play. Ben is tidying up well each time Horsham kick forward, the whole team are tackling well, is this the same team from last year?!!

Fin makes a fantastic try saving tackle, Alex is in the thick of it and Ed makes a great break but in the end Horsham get the ball wide and score 19-0. Half time and Ed is off injured.

Horsham kick off, after several plays Haslemere get the ball through a Horsham knock on in the Haslemere 22 and several fumbles later (backwards luckily) Hugo gets the ball, puts in a fantastic run shouted on by all, running through half a dozen tackles to score, 19-7.

From the off Horsham are relentless, Haslemere defend well but Horsham pressure is too much and they run in another try, 26-7. From the start Haslemere apply the pressure on Horsham, with Chad leading the charge in the forwards, their rucking is better and George wins the ball magnificently.

Fin is tackling really well he is really coming into his own, everyone in the Haslemere team remians hungry and they are not giving up. After some argy bargy Haslemere get the ball wide to Justin who runs through several tackles to score 26-12 (glad our guest players are playing well for us). Hugo is off injured, Haslemere now have two Horsham players who are playing fantastic rugby. Good sportsmen.

Horsham pressure is back on from a lineout but George reads the play well and stops Horsham in their tracks. Play swaps sides for the next ten minutes good play from Henry in the breakdown which almost cancels out the random passing! Horsham get the ball wide after a number of phases and score, 33-12.

Horsham pressure is full on from the off, they get over the line but are held up by the Haslemere determination to keep them out. This continues to the end of the game several minutes later. Well played Haslemere! Man of the match was Chad, and once again Haslemere win the Boat Race (we are unbeaten!!).

Well played everyone you have all proven how well you are improving and enjoying playing!
