Moral victory was ours in Vets Cup Final

Well, it was meant to a pure Vets game, but due to our original opposition crying-off, the organisers lined a regular 3s team.

However, the Haslemere way is to play what’s in front of you and what a great performance by the boys !

We fielded a scratch team that was mostly vets with a complement of some youth and a few returning to rugby players who scrapped and competed for everything with a lot of tries being score by both sides.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for Haslemere, but we’ll be back again next season for another final.

Well done to everyone who played and came to support.
