The A squad played some very crunching competitive rugby. The weather was appauling but the boys all rose the the challenge.
Its certainly worth recognizing the performance of some of the boys who took part. It was noted how well Sam, Ed, Archie and Fraser played and these children are identified as the players of the festival.
We only lost 2 games and the first by only one try. The coaches noted the imporovement in rucking capability over last season. Tackling again was great and prevented the oppositions from scoring plenty of tries.
Well done also to all the coaches!
The B-squad's performance was also incredible. They played very well and the games were really entertaining to watch.
Overall it was very entertaining rugby. The enthusiasm the lads played with was also really good to see with nobody too bothered about the rain.
Finishing 3rd in our half of the B-group seems harsh given how well they played. The top 3 teams were all tied on points, then us and Dorking were tied on tries-for. We had a worse tries-against so took 3rd spot.
