The morning after the Rugby Ball had Chichester come to visit for a joint coaching session. Clearly a well supported club, they brought 19 boys and a similar number of coaches (almost).
We ran a normal session plan, getting the 2 clubs mixed together which worked very well. Interesting to see that in reality the difference between the new continuum (Chichester) and the old (Haslemere) didn't really make any difference when in came to skills or match play.
We rounded up with 2 matches which both were very competitive - ending 1 all to each club. What is apparent for Haslemere is that we've a lot of players who are developing fast and some very strong new faces, which means when we review the A and B squads we have used this term in January and we will consider some other options - 2 A/B squads as an example.
Thank you to Chichester for come up to see us.
